Programs

Let Us Bring Holiday to You” is a community-led initiative by the Toronto Jewish Academy Ohr Menachem, supported by the New Horizons for Seniors Program. The project brings joy, cultural connection, and a sense of belonging to Russian-speaking seniors by delivering festive holiday packages directly to their homes.

Throughout the year, volunteers will prepare and deliver 5 to senior households before major Jewish holidays—Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Chanukah, and Purim. This project is about more than just packages—it’s about people. Every visit is a chance to say: You’re part of our community.

We’re inviting volunteers of all ages, especially senior volunteers, to get involved! Whether you help assemble packages, plan routes, or join us on friendly doorstep visits, you’ll be making a meaningful difference—while also building new friendships and community bonds.
